There are several differences with the Quartet in the manga. The Amazoness play a much bigger role and appear throughout the SS manga. They are the ones who create the Amazon Trio from animals, not Zirconia. They also use the Trio to carry out their plans at first. Zirconia eventually seals them inside their own magic balls which Saturn manages to hold on to and later presents the balls to Moon who has become Neo-Queen Serenity. Moon frees the Amazoness and in doing so transforms them into the Sailor Quartet which are assigned to help protect Princess Lady Serenity (Chibi-usa). They are named for some of the largest Asteroids in the Asteroid Belt.

CereCere becomes SailorCeres, VesVes changes to Sailor Vesta, JunJun is now SailorJuno and ParaPara ends up as SailorPallas.

You might have thought that was the last you would see of the Quartet, however, they return again for a very brief appearance in Manga Number 17 and then in the final issue of the Manga, Number 18.

In Manga 18 SailorMoon, Sailorchibichibi and Princess Kakyuu after entering a mysterious looking graveyard are suddenly suspended on crosses and captured by SailorHeavyMetalPapillon. With the Inners, Outers and Starlights now all assumed dead there is no one left to bail them out and it looks like it's curtains for the three of them. However, if you haven't guessed by now SailorChibi-Moon and the Sailor Quartet suddenly appear. Chibi-Moon uses her powers to free SailorMoon and company while the Quartet uses an "Amazoness Jungle Arrow" (their combined power: see picture) to kill the suprised HeavyMetalPapillon (owch!).

The Quartet stick around through the rest of the manga, continuing to play an important role. They also are the ones who discover ChibiChibi's true identity is SailorCosmos, the ultimate form of SailorMoon. They aren't the first to see her in that form, Sailormoon sees her first, but they are the ones who discover her name and purpose.
